Job Description

Hiring an Accounting Assistant that supports the Finance & Accounting team by performing daily accounting tasks with a focus on NetSuite ERP system utilisation. In addition, this role provides remote general office administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for maintaining accuracy and efficiency in financial processes while assisting with office coordination and clerical duties.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccounting Responsibilities
  • Enter and reconcile financial transactions in NetSuite, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, and journal entries.
  • Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and reporting schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with audit and retention policies.
  • Support the preparation of internal financial reports and external audit requirements.
  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate coding, approvals, and timely processing of transactions.
  • Processing customer payments, answering AR email, and making collection calls.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for office-related inquiries (phone, email, visitors).
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and organizing company events.
  • Manage document filing systems (digital and physical).
  • Provide clerical support including data entry, scanning, copying, and correspondence preparation.
  • Ensure the office environment is organized, professional, and compliant with company policies.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 13 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite required; experience with ERP systems strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
