The Role

We're seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the client's Controller with daily accounting and administrative operations. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multiple processes simultaneously.

You'll play a key role in supporting payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, and financial administrative processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance in day-to-day accounting operations.

Location: Must be in Colombia Remote.

Environment: Colombian and International Teams.

Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1).

Timezone: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - PST

Contract: Non-fixed Term Colombian Contract.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in invoicing and payroll administration.
  • Experience working in a multi-client environment.
  • Experience with database systems (preferred).3+ years of experience in invoicing and payroll administration.

Skills

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022 + Assisted Payroll.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes.
  • Familiarity with California state and federal labor laws.
  • Experience with external payroll platforms (ideally Paylocity).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely processing of weekly payroll and invoicing
  • Produce and maintain various Excel spreadsheets
  • Handle accounts payable
  • Assist with human resources and benefits administration
  • Handle sales tax returns
  • Prepare annual 401k Census and 1099s
