Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Assistant based in Cabuyao. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements, maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, managing accounting software, and performing general accounting tasks. The role includes supporting financial reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies, and aiding in the overall financial operations of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset records.
- Analyze reports and budgets to provide timely and accurate financial information to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements in all financial transactions and reporting.
- Process and reconcile financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and payroll, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking activities, and oversee the laboratory's financial transactions and accounts.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and cost analysis to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyze auditors reports, monitor tax advisories, and regulatory authorities to fulfill reporting and compliance requirements.
- Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Provide financial support and guidance to other departments and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in accounting or financial roles.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP)
