Job Description

Summary of the Role

The position supports financial reporting, analysis, corporate card administration, and accounting operations by ensuring accurate financial data, managing corporate card programs, supporting accounts payable and tax compliance, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Finance Analysis (CAM)

  • Extract, analyze, and reconcile financial data related to air travel expenses.
  • Perform variance analysis and identify cost drivers.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and supporting schedules.
  • Support weekly and month-end close activities.
  • Maintain reporting tools, data models, and dashboards.
  • Respond to stakeholder requests and reporting inquiries.

2. Corporate Cards Management

  • Oversee corporate card applications, cancellations, and account maintenance.
  • Handle employee inquiries and card-related concerns.
  • Monitor transactions for compliance and unusual activity.
  • Prepare regular reports and analyses.
  • Maintain cardholder records and trackers.
  • Coordinate with banking partners on card issues and credit line renewals.

3. Accounting & Tax Support (PDI Lelepa Ltd., Vanuatu)

  • Manage Accounts Payable processes and payment transactions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.
  • Prepare manual journal entries and support financial reporting.
  • Assist with VAT compliance and tax filing requirements.
  • Coordinate bank transactions, account setup, and payment documentation.
  • Work closely with banks and internal stakeholders.

4. Ad Hoc Corporate Governance Support

  • Prepare Secretary's Certificates and coordinate legal documentation requirements.
  • Manage updates of authorized bank signatories and related banking documentation.

A highly operational and analytical finance role that supports financial reporting, accounting, corporate card administration, compliance, banking coordination, and stakeholder management, while ensuring accuracy, control, and adherence to company policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate would ideally have:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Accountant (CPA) with experience in General Accounting and exposure to audit firms. Tax experience is preferred but not required.
  • 2-3+ years of finance/accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and other reporting tools
  • Strong coordination skills for working with banks, legal teams, and various stakeholders.
