Role Summary

We are seeking an Accountant to join a tech-forward financial services firm that supports scaling businesses. This role handles core accounting operations end-to-end, including payroll, bookkeeping, AP, client invoicing, and bank reconciliations. The team values precision, continuous learning, and smart automation of accounting processes. Former Big Four experience (especially EY alumni) is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll across multiple clients and manage state tax compliance
• Handle client invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and review for variances
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records in QuickBooks
• Assist with financial data analysis, reporting, and ad hoc client requests
• Manage client relationships through CRM and ensure responsive communication
• Support implementation of digital security measures and process automation
• Collaborate with senior accounting staff during month-end and year-end close

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience in a US-based or US-serving firm
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (debits/credits, accruals, reconciliations)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
• Fully fluent in English
• Ability to commit long-term and full-time

Preferred Qualifications

• Big Four experience, particularly Ernst & Young (EY) alumni
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Exposure to US GAAP and multi-state payroll tax
• Experience with accounting automation tools (Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Expensify)

• QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Excel, Google Sheets, Bill.com, Gusto or ADP, Ramp/Brex/Expensify, Salesforce or HubSpot CRM
