We are seeking a trustworthy, detail-oriented, and motivated Junior Accountant to join our expanding finance function. In this role, you will directly support international business operations for a client with active, fast-paced operations running across both the United States and the European Union. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who is looking to build a long-term career while supporting international business operations.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks, strong English communication skills, and a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals. We are looking for someone reliable, eager to learn, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation
- Record financial transactions and ensure proper classification of accounts
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Maintain and update accounting records within QuickBooks
- Review financial information for completeness and accuracy
- Assist with expense management and payroll-related activities as required
- Support audit, compliance, and financial reporting requirements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting-related inquiries
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of financial information
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Must-Haves (Hard Skills)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of proven professional accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related experience.
- Software Ecosystem: Robust, practical experience utilizing QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop platforms).
- Data Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data formatting) and MS Office applications.
- Schedule Alignment: Full comfortability working a dedicated remote schedule that securely overlaps with US business hours.
- Communication: Elite verbal and written English communication skills tailored for corporate global reporting.
- Familiarity with US GAAP accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Direct experience supporting international clients or businesses with active entities in the US and EU.
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting principles.
- Prior experience navigating month-end close sequences within centralized shared services, BPOs, or distributed remote teams.
- Exposure to automated expense management and multi-currency cloud accounting architecture.
