Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to review, investigate and provide insights on Business Unit costs and associated balance sheet accounts. This includes monitoring relevant transactions, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and providing business insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently prepare a range of balance sheet reconciliations from across different areas of the balance sheet that range from simple to more complex and ensure all reconciliations are investigated to ensure they are rated green.
  • Analyze and pull together a wide range of information for consolidation and analysis.
  • Perform month end tasks including (but not limited to) accrual calculations, journal review and posting and information analysis.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in relation to balance sheet reconciliations to call out insights and resolve queries
  • Support the wide variety of projects and process improvements that are underway across the team
  • Assist with the preparation of half yearly and yearly reporting
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships through attendance of regular meetings / engagement sessions which includes active participation to resolve any ongoing issues and collaborating together to improve and add value to the business and FSS
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing for any changes to the System Environment

CAREER EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Degree qualified, currently working towards CPA qualification
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong experience using financial systems e.g. Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros), Powerpoint, Netsuite/SAP, SAP BW, BPC
  • Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple
  • Ability to synthesise large amounts of data from a variety of sources.
