About This Role:
The Senior HCM Business Systems Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the Workday HCM platform with respect to Role Based Security, Data Integrations, Data Migrations, SOX reporting and semi annual Revisions to support HR operations and enterprise business objectives. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and key stakeholders to deliver scalable Workday solutions. You will own the quarterly User Access Reviews in collaboration with the Compliance and Internal & External Audit teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain Workday business security roles, condition rules, calculated fields, validations, notifications, eligibility, and approvals aligned to policy and compliance.
- Partner with integration and technical teams to support inbound/outbound integrations (e.g., benefits, payroll vendors, identity management), including troubleshooting data and process issues.
- Manage Workday releases and internal change cycles by assessing impacts, coordinating regression testing, validating new features, and recommending adoption strategies.
- Develop and maintain Workday SOX reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
- Establish and execute UAT and regression test strategies, including test scripts, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking through to closure.
- Create and maintain functional documentation, process maps, and user guides; deliver training and enablement to HR partners and super users as needed.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree;; or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting or implementing Workday HCM in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading initiatives involving Workday configuration, business process design, and cross-functional delivery.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to elicit, document, and translate business requirements into functional designs and configured Workday solutions with minimal rework.
- Proven capability to lead testing efforts (UAT/regression), manage defects, and deliver stable releases on schedule.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex process and data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend measurable improvements.
- Working knowledge of Workday security concepts (roles, domains, business process security) and the ability to apply least-privilege principles.
- Experience building and validating Workday reporting/analytics (custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards) to meet defined business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including facilitation, negotiation, and clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
Work Environment / Other Requirements:
- Remote work is available based on business needs and location; occasional onsite presence may be required for key workshops or deployments.
- May require periodic off-hours support for production releases, deployments, and issue resolution.
- Minimal travel may be required (typically <10%), based on project needs and stakeholder locations.
