We are seeking experienced WordPress developers with 3+ years of professional experience to join our team. This position is needed for supporting our web development projects with a focus on WordPress customization, theme development, and plugin integration.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Comprehensive understanding of WordPress's event-driven lifecycle
- Extensive experience with WordPress hooks and filters
- Expertise in WordPress best practices, particularly parent-child theme relationships
- Demonstrated experience developing custom themes and/or plugins
- History of extending functionality of existing WordPress themes/plugins
- Experience integrating external APIs with WordPress plugins and themes for data retrieve and updates
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of React and TypeScript
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approaches
- Familiarity with WordPress security best practices
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with Bitbucket
- Understanding of SEO principles and implementation in WordPress
- Experience with WordPress performance optimization
