Wind Technical Manager

Looking for a Wind Technical Manager to join our client's team in the Philippines. This role sits at the heart of wind project development, with a strong emphasis on technical workstreams, data analysis, and optimization of project performance and LCOE.
Responsibilities
- Lead wind measurement campaigns, plan, monitor systems, ensure IEC compliance and best practices.
- Execute wind flow modelling, select techniques, validate outputs for project analysis.
- Conduct energy yield assessments, analyse data, model layouts/turbines, quantify uncertainties and losses.
- Perform site condition evaluations, assess extreme winds, turbulence, shear, and temperature suitability.
- Optimise turbine selection, evaluate models/suppliers to minimise LCOE through layout recommendations.
- Support development teams, provide feasibility analysis, micrositing, noise/shadow flicker studies.
- Review technical documents, assess turbine tech, engineering work, and due diligence inputs.
- Contribute to wind farm design, from concept through construction oversight and site visits.
- Produce stakeholder reports, clear technical summaries for management, clients, and partners.
- Analyse operational performance, review live wind farm data to identify optimisation opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related discipline).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in wind resource assessment / wind development / wind engineering.
- Experience with a wind developer, EPC, or OEM (turbine supplier) is highly preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with GIS.
- Proficiency in wind software such as WAsP, WindPRO, Windographer, Openwind and similar tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, self-motivated, proactive, fast learner, comfortable working under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and stakeholder meetings as required.
