Job Summary:
The Indirect Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the indirect materials warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient material handling, and timely distribution of supplies. This role leads a team to support operational needs while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities for indirect materials (e.g., packaging, maintenance, office, and consumable supplies)
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits
- Ensure timely issuance and delivery of materials to internal departments
- Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to meet performance and productivity targets
- Maintain proper documentation and records for all warehouse transactions
- Implement and enforce safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure proper stock levels and replenishment
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of materials
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse processes
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems (WMS)
