Brief Job Description
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. The role ensures operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and seamless coordination with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to support overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow from receiving to dispatch.
- Develop and enforce warehouse systems, procedures, and best practices for inventory control.
- Supervise Warehouse Officers, Supervisors, and warehouse personnel.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
- Monitor warehouse performance indicators such as inventory accuracy, space utilization, and order fulfillment efficiency.
- Ensure proper storage conditions and handling of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Enforce compliance with GMP, HACCP, safety standards, and warehouse SOPs.
- Oversee warehouse documentation, reports, and audit readiness.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, and operational issues.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse processes and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations.
- At least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse operations, and distribution processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse/ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or export-oriented companies.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance standards.
- Experience in warehouse optimization, lean operations, or process improvement initiatives.
- Background in handling audits and certification requirements.
