Role Summary
As a Voice Engineer, you will play a crucial role in upgrading our key communication infrastructures. Your expertise will ensure seamless transitions and enhancements to our CUCM, UCCX, and CUC systems, as well as our ESXi environment. This position offers an opportunity to impact our global operations by supporting critical upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Upgrade CUCM, UCCX, and CUC infrastructure from version 12.5 to 15.4
- Upgrade ESXi from versions 6.5 and 7.0 to 8.0
- Conduct pre-work activities, including change submissions, implementation plans, and documentation
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure minimal disruption during upgrade windows
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the upgrade process
- Ensure compliance with company standards and security protocols
- Provide post-upgrade support and optimization (stabilization / hypercare)
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience upgrading CUCM, UCCX, and CUC infrastructures
- Experience with ESXi upgrades from 6.5/7.0 to 8.0
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- CCNA Certification
Preferred
- Experience supporting global operations and rotating coverage models
- Familiarity with remote working tools and environments
- CCNP Collaboration (or similar) / strong equivalent experience
- Familiarity with ITIL/change management best practices
- Experience with large enterprise UC environments (multi-cluster, multi-site)
