Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated technical specialist to join a dynamic voicenetwork team on a contract basis in the Philippines. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with telephony systems, troubleshooting complex networks, and providing on-site or dedicated support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the on-site or client-dedicated engineer, becoming a key technical resource for voice infrastructure operations
  • Conduct network analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of voice systems
  • Manage system configuration, software upgrades, and hardware lifecycle for voice devices
  • Provide proactive support: identify risks, recommend improvements, and help prevent service interruptions
  • Transfer technical expertise and best practices to the client's internal team
  • Coordinate with remote support teams for escalations, patches, or urgent maintenance
  • Assist in hardware replacements, vendor coordination, and ensuring system uptime

Tools, Products, and Technologies You'll Work With:

Session Border Controllers (SBCs)

  • Mediant 1000, Mediant 800, Mediant 4000, Mediant 9000
  • Virtual SBCs (Mediant VE / SE / CE) for cloud or virtual deployments

Media Gateways

  • MediaPack 1288, MediaPack 1xx series
  • Mediant 800, Mediant 500, Mediant 3100 gateways for hybrid IP / TDM or analog deployments

Management & Monitoring Tools

  • Routing Manager, One Voice Operations Center (OVOC)
  • Device Manager for centralized control of gateways, SBCs, and IP phones

IP Phones

  • 400HD Series IP phones (e.g., C450HD, C445HD, C425HD)

Protocols & Codecs

  • SIP signaling, TDM / ISDN interfaces
  • Voice codecs: G.711, G.729, T.38 (fax over IP)

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience with SBCs, gateways, IP phones, or telephony systems
  • Strong knowledge of SIP, TDM, ISDN, and relevant voice protocols
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize voice network performance
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
  • Hands-on experience with hardware replacement, software upgrades, and monitoring tools
