This is a full-time remote role for a Video Editor. The Video Editor will create, edit, and refine video content that explains Pie's product, educates users on tax concepts, and supports marketing and brand initiatives across digital channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling raw footage, editing and optimizing videos for different platforms, adding motion graphics and basic visual effects, and ensuring consistent branding and messaging. The role involves close collaboration with marketing, product, and design teams to develop engaging video narratives, maintain visual standards, and deliver projects on schedule. The Video Editor will also manage file organization, adhere to timelines, and contribute ideas to improve video storytelling and audience engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, with experience assembling, cutting, and optimizing video content for digital channels.
• Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, quality, and brand alignment across all video materials.
• Ability to create Motion Graphics and Graphics that enhance storytelling, improve comprehension, and support the brand's visual identity.
• Experience with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion design tools (e.g., After Effects).
• Solid understanding of aspect ratios, codecs, and platform requirements for web, social media, and mobile video.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to handle multiple projects in a remote environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with openness to feedback and iterative creative processes.
• Prior experience in fintech, education, or product marketing video is beneficial, as is a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
