The Online Editor is responsible for the final stages of post-production, shaping video projects into polished masterpieces. He/she will lead a team of editors, colorists, and visual effects artists, collaborating closely with the creative team to deliver visually captivating content that showcases our commitment to excellence.
The role stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices and is able to identify new opportunities and strategies for improving overall performance as well as growth.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1) VIDEO EDITING
- Works with sequences through the use of supers, artworks, audio mixes, color correction, color grading, and animation when needed to enhance final output coming from offline edits
- Review storyboard accuracy relative to supers and artwork guides of agency
- Perform online editing of storyboards for assigned projects and ensure client satisfaction
- Edit and optimize audio elements, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, to achieve superior audio quality and perfect synchronization with visuals.
- Recommend workarounds and/or solutions to client revisions
2) COLLABORATION AND ORGANIZATION
- Attend in-house mounted shoots as needed to give proper shooting guidelines that align with the technical requirements of complex boards
- Collaborate closely with the creative team, including directors and other editors, to achieve the desired artistic vision for each project
- Recommend outsourcing in cases where in-house post team cannot accommodate a requirement
- Organize and archive digital assets, including footage, audio files, graphics, and project files, and safekeep hard drives to ensure security, control, easy retrieval and availability for future reference
3) TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY
- Stay up-to-date with industry-standard editing software and tools, ensuring proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has proficiency in visual effects (VFX) and motion graphics
- Has proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, AI Software tools)
- Has excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual composition
- Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative team environment
- Has strong communication and time management skills
REQURED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Multimedia Arts, Communication, or a related field is preferred
- Has at least 1-2 years proven experience as an Online Editor in a video production environment
- Is respectful and can get along with different personalities
- Holds his/herself accountable, open to receiving and giving feedback
- Positive outlook and personality on both work and personal aspects, willing to be trained hard while sharing his or her own perspective and voice
