Job Description

Job Type: Hybrid or Remote

Office Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand

Candidates based in Thailand are preferred, but we will consider all candidates within a 1-4 hour flight to Chiang Mai who are willing to occasionally travel to Chiang Mai for work purposes.

Mission Statement

Create engaging, high-quality video content that elevates the brand across all digital platforms. Collaborate with the Marketing team to craft visually compelling stories that align with our brand voice, drive engagement, and support growth across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Expectations and Outcomes

  • Edit and produce short-form and long-form videos optimized for each platform (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, YouTube).
  • Maintain brand consistency in all video content while adapting tone, pacing, and visual style to each platform's audience.
  • Deliver at least 1520 edited videos per month that meet the team's creative standards and performance KPIs (CTR, engagement rate, and watch time).
  • Collaborate with the Marketing teams to develop templates, automation workflows, and AI-assisted editing processes.
  • Continuously stay up to date on social video trends, sound formats, and editing techniques to ensure Ling's content remains relevant and innovative.
  • Develop and maintain clear SOPs for video workflows, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.

Responsibilities

Video Editing and Production

  • Edit raw footage into high-performing, platform-optimized videos.
  • Add subtitles, transitions, sound effects, and background music to enhance storytelling.
  • Adapt existing videos into multiple formats for cross-platform distribution.
  • Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines and platform requirements (aspect ratio, duration, captioning).

Creative Storytelling

  • Collaborate with scriptwriters, content creators/ social media team, and designers to translate ideas into engaging visual stories.
  • Incorporate brand identity and key messaging into every piece of content.
  • Experiment with creative techniques such as motion graphics, jump cuts, and trending effects.

AI-Enhanced Editing and Automation

  • Use AI tools (e.g. Runway, Descript, Runway, Opus Clip, or similar) to speed up editing and repurposing processes.
  • Build reusable templates and automation workflows for recurring content (e.g., YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Reels).
  • Explore AI-driven captioning, voiceovers, and clip selection for faster turnarounds.

Content Optimization

  • Edit videos to maximize engagement metrics.
  • Analyze video performance metrics and recommend creative improvements.
  • Coordinate with Growth teams to align video assets with ongoing campaigns or product launches.

File and Asset Management

  • Maintain organized project files and archives.
  • Manage a shared asset library of footage, soundtracks, templates, and motion graphics.
  • Ensure backups and proper version control of all projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with designers, marketers, and social media managers to ensure cohesive visual storytelling.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for campaign ideation.

Competencies and Skills

Hard skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, or similar softwares
  • Experience with short-form and long-form social video formats
  • Knowledge of audio balancing, and transitions
  • Familiarity with aspect ratios and technical specs for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Strong storytelling and pacing sense tailored to social platforms
  • Understanding of brand consistency and marketing goals

Preferred:

  • Experience with AI video tools (e.g. Runway, Descript, Runway, Opus Clip, or similar.)
  • Ability to create and manage automation workflows using tools like Make.com or Zapier
  • Basic motion graphics skills (After Effects or Canva Pro motion templates)
  • Familiarity with analytics tools to interpret video performance (YouTube Studio, Meta Insights, etc.)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and visual aesthetics
  • Creative mindset with a data-driven approach
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Eagerness to learn and experiment with new trends and tools
  • Organized and reliable in project delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of professional experience in video editing for social media or marketing
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing video editing and storytelling skills
  • Proven ability to edit for multiple formats (portrait, landscape, square)
  • Fluent in English

Preferred:

  • Experience working in international or multilingual brands
  • Basic knowledge of automation tools (Make.com, Zapier, etc.)
  • Interest in language learning, education, or mobile app industries
