Job Description

The Venue Designer is a Retail Interior Designer looking to translate brand identity into a physical customer experience by developing new concepts and documentation for new venues and renovation projects while delivering on our brand promise to bring the love, inspire progression, and grow the tribe.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Layout Planning: Assessing customer flow, identifying zones, and choosing layouts that maximise capacity, customer, and operational efficiency.
  • Brand Translation: Translating Brand Guidelines into specified fixtures and fittings, color schemes, lighting, and materials.
  • Technical Documentation: Producing 2D and 3D digital models, lighting designs, and documentation for shopfitters and contractors, inclusive of signage packages and specifications.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all designs meet safety, building codes, and environmental sustainability requirements.
  • Review external design: Design Documentation, Lighting, and engineering contractors to deliver detailed documentation to standards and budget within time frames
  • Collaborate with internal Design and Project managers: Ensure drawing packages are ready and accurately checked for alignment to kitchen packages, engineering and design,n and tenancy guidelines.

Qualification And Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior design, Industrial Design, or a related field, or an Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Building and Construction or Interior Design with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in Retail or Recreational Design.
  • Demonstrated experience in fast-paced, multi-project environments, particularly with Recreational or QSR fit-outs and projects involving complex design adaptations of existing buildings, is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering multiple new venues and renovation projects and concurrent refurbishment programs, with a strong emphasis on on-time, on-budget, and high-quality completion.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and OHS regulations.
  • Sound understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and techniques.
  • Ability to interpret structural designs and engineering specifications.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining strict adherence to delivery goals.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

Non-negotiable Skills & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in Retail or Recreational Design.
  • Software: Experience in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering multiple new venues and renovation projects and concurrent refurbishment programs, with a strong emphasis on on-time, on-budget, and high-quality completion.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and OHS regulations.
