As a Researcher at Salmon's Research Lab, you will design and deliver high-quality research that helps the company better understand its customers, markets, and business opportunities.
You will work across
market, customer, and new opportunity research, translating insights into clear recommendations that inform product, marketing, and business decisions. This role requires strong research judgment, the ability to work end-to-end, and comfort working in an international team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct qualitative research (in-depth interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry)
- Lead regular customer interviews to understand real-life behaviors, needs, and pain points
- Explore how customers discover, use, and experience Salmon's products across different stages of their journey
- Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights for product, design, and business teams
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to inform product decisions
- Contribute to research documentation and help maintain the team's knowledge base
Requirements And Expectations
- 24 years of experience in UX or CX research
- Strong qualitative research skills, especially conducting and moderating interviews
- Ability to independently lead customer interviews and extract meaningful insights
- Experience with usability testing; familiarity with mixed methods is a plus
- Comfortable conducting research in both Filipino and English
- Clear, structured communication both written and verbal
- Proactive, curious, and able to work in a fast-moving, lean environment
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, e-commerce, or consumer apps
- Experience researching underserved or low-literacy user segments
- Familiarity with research and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Dovetail, etc.)
