Job Description

Job Title:UI/UX Designer

Practice AI is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to join our team. You will design and maintain the end-to-end user experience and user interface for our platform, turning complex workflows into clear, intuitive, and consistent product experiences. You will own our design system, collaborate closely with engineering and product, and deliver high-fidelity designs in Figmafrom research and wireframes to production-ready UI and assets (icons/illustrations) as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain the UI/UX for an entire system (multi-page, multi-role platform) with consistent patterns and scalable components.
  • Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma.
  • Build and evolve a design system (components, variants, auto layout, typography, spacing, color, accessibility standards) to ensure consistency and speed.
  • Translate product requirements into clear UX solutions, validating assumptions with lightweight research and usability testing.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are feasible, well-specified, and implemented accurately.
  • Produce UI assets as needed (icons, illustrations, images) and maintain an organized asset library.
  • Define interaction patterns (states, loading, empty states, error handling) and ensure polished UX across edge cases.
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback, analytics, and user input.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, libraries, prototypes, design systems).
  • Proven ability to design cohesive end-to-end experiences for complex products (not just single pages).
  • Strong UX fundamentals: user flows, hierarchy, interaction design, usability heuristics, and information architecture.
  • Ability to create and/or edit icons and visual assets (e.g., using Figma and/or Illustrator).
  • Experience collaborating with engineers and handing off production-ready specs (responsive layouts, states, redlines, reusable components).
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Availability to work Pacific Standard Time (8:00 AM 5:00 PM California Time).
  • Access to a laptop/desktop (minimum 8GB RAM, Core i5 or above) with a stable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps).

Requirements added by the job poster:

  • Portfolio demonstrating system-level UI/UX work (flows, components/design system, and shipped product examples).
  • Advanced Figma expertise with design system ownership and scalable component architecture.
