Specifics of Work Setup - Required onsite during monthly / quarterly team meetings and when required by D&V / Client.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Federal and State tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
- Accurately calculate estimated payments, depreciation schedules, and client tax positions.
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding missing documents, tax planning opportunities, and filing deadlines.
- Manage and update client files through TaxDome or other firm CRMs.
- Collaborate with bookkeeping and admin teams to ensure clients books are tax ready.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of current federal and state tax laws, especially Washington B&O; and sales/use tax.
- Contribute to workflow improvements, automation, and internal best practices.
Job Qualifications:
- CPA
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) credential required. / With Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Minimum 4 years of recent tax preparation experience in a U.S.-based firm.
- Strong understanding of individual, corporate, and partnership tax law.
- Washington State experience preferred (B&O;, Sales/Use, Excise Tax).
- Proficiency in TaxAct (or willingness to train quickly).
- CRM experience TaxDome preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Prior remote experience with a U.S. accounting firm.
- Comfort with collaborative tools (Google Workspace, Slack, RingCentral, etc.).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
