We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented US Tax Accountant to join our team in Cebu or Manila. In this role, you will take ownership of preparing complex US personal and business tax returns, maintaining high-quality workpapers, and ensuring strict compliance with federal and state tax regulations. Operating onsite on a US-aligned night shift, you will work closely with onshore CPA managers to deliver accurate, audit-ready tax filing packages while supporting client success.
Your Impact
US Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership US tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Workpaper Compilation: Build, organize, and maintain clean, audit-ready supporting workpapers and schedules that substantiate return entries.
Onshore Team Collaboration: Partner with US-based team members to clarify client inquiries, report return statuses, and resolve complex tax preparation matters.
Quality & Compliance Control: Ensure all tax calculations align with current IRS codes, regulations, and public accounting firm standards.
Organizational Support: Manage multiple engagement timelines efficiently, maintaining sharp attention to detail across the busy tax season.
What You Bring
The Experience:2 to 4 years of hands-on experience preparing US personal and business tax returns within a public accounting or outsourced environment (required).
Credentials & Certification: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACA, CIMA) or an active US IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) license is strongly preferred.
Software Competency: Proficiency in professional US tax software-hands-on experience with Intuit Lacerte is a distinct plus-along with strong general accounting software skills.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with the clarity and confidence to collaborate across international teams.
Mindset & Ownership: A genuine passion for tax accounting, strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and a team-first drive to excel.
