Location: Manila & Cebu, Philippines
Work Arrangement: Onsite, Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday | 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM PHT

As a US Junior Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in delivering precise and reliable tax preparation for our U.S.-based client portfolio. This role is designed for a dedicated professional with a solid foundation in U.S. tax returns who is eager to learn, grow, and collaborate in a high-performing international team. Working closely with U.S. teams, you will help navigate personal and business tax compliance, ensure high integrity workpapers, and support the overall growth and success of the division.

Your Impact

  • Tax Return Preparation: Collaborate directly with the U.S.-based team to prepare individual and business U.S. tax returns, ensuring full compliance with current federal, state, and local tax laws.

  • Workpaper Management: Maintain detailed, thorough, and accurate workpapers that serve as a strong audit trail and support all tax filings.

  • Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with offshore managers and U.S. counterparts, actively participating in team meetings and alignment discussions.

  • Quality & Accuracy: Apply exceptional attention to detail to minimize errors, resolve tax preparation discrepancies, and maintain high compliance standards.

  • Timeline Execution: Effectively manage multiple engagement timelines and deadlines, delivering accurate outputs within expected service level agreements.

What You Bring

  • The Experience:2 to 4 years of hands-on experience preparing U.S. personal and business tax returns is required.

  • The Credentials: Professional accounting certification (CPA, Chartered Accountant, ACA, CIMA, etc.) is a plus. Being a U.S. IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) is highly preferred.

  • Technical Mastery: Strong understanding of U.S. tax compliance. Proficiency with Intuit Lacerte tax software is a distinct advantage.

  • The Mindset: A proactive learner with strong problem-solving and organizational skills, a high degree of accountability, and a true passion for tax preparation.

  • Communication Prowess: Exceptional verbal and written English skills, essential for seamless daily communication with U.S.-based stakeholders and team members.
