As a
US Intermediate Tax Accountant, you are a critical strategist in the North American tax landscape. This role is designed for a professional who understands that tax accounting is about more than just numbers—it's about compliance, strategy, and client trust. You will navigate the complexities of Federal and State regulations, providing the high-level accuracy and advisory support that helps US-based businesses and individuals thrive.
Your Impact
- Master of US Tax Compliance: Take ownership of preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns for a diverse portfolio of individuals and business entities. You will ensure every filing is accurate, compliant, and optimized, calculating taxes owed or refunds due with surgical precision.
- Strategic Tax Advisor: Move beyond preparation to provide meaningful tax planning and advisory services. By staying updated on ever-changing IRS regulations and state laws, you help clients navigate financial decisions and prepare for future tax obligations.
- Guardian of Data & Accuracy: Collect, organize, and analyze complex financial documentation—from investment info to payroll records—while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality. You'll perform general accounting tasks, including deep-dive reconciliations and financial analysis, to ensure the integrity of every client file.
- Client Service Champion: Act as a proactive point of contact for tax-related inquiries. Your ability to translate complex tax laws into actionable advice ensures that clients feel supported and confident in their financial standing.
What You Bring
- The Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; an Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA license is highly preferred.
- The Experience: At least 3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar US-focused role. You possess a strong understanding of US tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Intuit QuickBooks and Lacerte is essential. You have a strong technical aptitude for accounting-related software and the ability to manage multiple client files simultaneously.
- Core Competencies: High attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and excellent verbal and written communication. You are a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
