About the Role

The Senior Associate, Tax, takes on more advanced responsibilities in tax compliance and client service while assisting with managing client engagements. This role involves reviewing foundational tax returns, mentoring junior staff, and beginning to develop expertise in specialized tax areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, S-corporations, and trusts prepared by associates.
  • Perform advanced tax research and communicate findings with actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in planning and executing client engagements, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Provide training and guidance to associates on tax compliance and software tools.
  • Communicate directly with clients to clarify data and address tax-related questions.
  • Read and agree to abide by theAICPA Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by management.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, with experience handling a variety of tax situations across different industries.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced public accounting environment.
