As a US Senior Tax Accountant, you are a technical authority and a strategic pillar within our North American division. This role is designed for a seasoned tax expert who thrives on complexity-from high-net-worth individuals to multi-entity corporate structures. You won't just be filing forms; you will be overseeing tax planning, resolving intricate IRS issues, and acting as a vital liaison between our global hubs and U.S.-based teams to ensure financial excellence.
Your Impact
Advanced Tax Compliance Lead: Take the reins in preparing and reviewing complex U.S. federal and state tax returns, including Individuals (1040), Partnerships (1065), S-Corps (1120S), C-Corps (1120), and Trusts/Estates (1041). You ensure that every return is backed by meticulous supporting schedules, workpapers, and reconciliations.
Strategic Planning & Projections: Move beyond historical data by assisting with forward-looking tax planning, projections, and the calculation of estimated payments. Your insights help clients stay ahead of their tax liabilities and optimize their financial strategies.
Issue Resolution & IRS Liaison: Act as the first line of defense in responding to IRS and state notices. You will leverage your deep understanding of U.S. tax law to resolve technical issues and represent client interests with professional precision.
Cloud-Based Collaboration: Navigate a modern, tech-forward environment using tools like UltraTax, QuickBooks Online, and Qount. You will collaborate seamlessly with U.S. teams to ensure deadlines are met and data security standards are strictly upheld.
Client Communication Mastery: Manage professional communications via email and virtual meetings. You translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable information for clients and stakeholders alike.
What You Bring
The Experience:3-5 years of firsthand U.S. tax preparation experience is mandatory. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
Technical Mastery: Strong command of U.S. tax laws and filing requirements across various entity types. You are proficient with U.S. tax software (experience with UltraTax is a major plus) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
The Mindset: A self-starter with a sharp analytical mind and an uncompromising eye for detail. You possess the ability to manage a heavy workload independently while maintaining the fluency in English required for high-level international collaboration.
