CLIENT BACKGROUND
Our client is a proactive financial strategy firm serving service-based business owners. They go beyond basic bookkeeping — focusing on financial clarity, strong reporting, and building scalable foundations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of US-based clients. Core responsibilities include:
- Full-charge bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Payroll entry reconciliation (Gusto, Paychex, ADP, and similar platforms)
- Reconciling payroll liabilities and related accounts
- Historical clean-ups and catch-up projects
- Multi-entity accounting and due to/from reconciliations
- Accrual-based accounting adjustments
- Preparation of year-end adjusting journal entries
- Ensuring accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Reviewing and tying prior-year tax returns to general ledger to verify opening balances are accurate and properly recorded
- Supporting clients during tax season by maintaining clean, organized books
- KPI reporting and financial data organization
- Maintaining documentation and compliance standards
- Trust accounting experience is a plus but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2–5+ years of US bookkeeping experience within a US firm
- Intensive, hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO) — REQUIRED (We do not use QuickBooks Desktop.)
- Strong understanding of cash and accrual accounting
- Experience reconciling payroll entries and payroll liabilities
- Experience with historical clean-ups
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and due to/from accounts
- Strong understanding of financial statement tie-outs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- CPA is a plus, but not required.
