Job Summary
A Research and Development Assistant support the research and development team in creating, testing, and improving products or processes. This role involves conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, preparing samples, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure product quality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in product development and improvement through research, testing, and experimentation
- Prepare samples, materials, and laboratory equipment for trials and experiments
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and record accurate results
- Gather, organize, and analyze data to support R&D projects
- Maintain documentation such as formulations, test results, and reports
- Support the creation of technical documents (SOPs, product specifications, reports)
- Coordinate with other departments (QA, Production, Marketing) for project alignment
- Assist in new product development (NPD) and improvement of existing products
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety procedures
- Perform other R&D-related tasks assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field
- Fresh graduates are welcome (experience is an advantage)
- Background in laboratory work, product development, or research is preferred
- Knowledge of testing methods, formulations, or manufacturing processes
