Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Minimum Experience:

3 years Supervisory or Managerial Experience

  • Experience in Sugar, Fuel and/or Power Industry is an advantage
  • Tax and other compliance work experience

Competencies:

  • High analytical skills
  • Microsoft office applications proficiency
  • Accounting standard proficiency
  • Taxation proficiency

Knowledge on Accounting Software (SAP background is a plus)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and posts journal vouchers relevant to taxes and licenses
  • Reviews documents submitted to regulatory bodies such as Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Board of Investments (BOI), Bureau of Customs (BOC), governing local government units, among others.
  • In-charge of the submission of the tax assessments requirements and in addressing preliminary queries of the BIR examiners

  • Reviews documents submitted to regulatory bodies such as Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Board of Investments (BOI), Bureau of Customs (BOC), governing local government units, among others.
  • In-charge of the submission of the tax assessments requirements and in addressing preliminary queries of the BIR examiners
  • Spearheads the organizational compliance to new issuances released by the BIR regarding transaction processing and financial reporting.
  • Conduct training sessions to affected departments to guide users in the interpretation and implementation of BIR issuances.
  • Overall in-charge in securing the business permits and other licenses of the existing and new operating segments of the company.
  • In-charge of compliance to general and specific terms and conditions of the registered BOI projects and in securing maximum ITH and other project benefits granted by the BOI. Addresses and resolves BOI clarifications and findings on incentive applications.
  • Conduct new business project evaluation to determine the related taxes and licenses that will be filed and complied with by the new business project, determine the tax implication of setting-up the business project, and determine potential incentive opportunities that can be availed of from BOI and other regulatory bodies granting taxes and other fees holiday, relief, exemption and grants.
  • Spearheads the ISO compliance of Accounting Department.
