Underwriting Analyst / Junior Underwriter

Company Overview

On behalf of a client, we are hiring Junior Underwriters to join a growing Cebu-based team supporting U.S. fintech lending operations. The team works closely with U.S. stakeholders to review merchant applications and financial documentation as part of the underwriting process.

This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to U.S. lending and underwriting processes within a structured team environment.

Role Overview

The Underwriting Analyst / Junior Underwriter will support underwriting operations by reviewing merchant applications, analyzing financial documents, and assisting internal teams in evaluating funding opportunities.

This role is ideal for candidates interested in building a career in financial analysis, lending, or fintech operations.

Key Responsibilities

Review merchant applications and supporting financial documentation.

Analyze financial data and spreadsheets to assist underwriting decisions.

Coordinate with internal teams supporting U.S. lending operations.

Ensure accurate documentation and data review throughout the underwriting process.

Support operational workflows related to merchant funding applications.

Candidate Requirements

Background in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field preferred.

Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Comfortable reviewing financial documents and spreadsheets.

Advanced English proficiency (C1C2).

Must be able to work onsite in Cebu and follow a U.S. night shift schedule.
