Job Description



UAT Analyst
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented UAT Analyst to support the delivery of technology initiatives. As a UAT/QA Associate Engineer, you will support both traditional QA testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within an Agile delivery environment. You'll help ensure software not only meets technical specifications but also aligns with business expectations.

This is a dynamic entry-level role that blends collaboration with development teams, business SMEs, and delivery leads, offering real-world learning while contributing to product releases.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in defining UAT test scenarios in partnership with Business Analysts and Product Owners.
Help coordinate UAT schedules and ensure environments/test data are available.
Execute or support UAT alongside business users and SMEs.
Validate that functionality aligns with business workflows—not just tech specs.
Log UAT defects and participate in triage with the Delivery Lead and QA team.
Work closely with development teams and business testers to reproduce and resolve issues.
Maintain artifacts like UAT trackers in tools like Smartsheet, Jira, Teams or Confluence.
Suggest improvements to reduce manual testing and boost coverage across insurance workflows, develop and maintain automated scripts where feasible.
Stay-up-to-date on UAT/QA best practices, Agile delivery strategies, and insurance industry trends.

Skills:

Strong understanding of insurance operations (e.g., underwriting, claims, billing)
Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Zephyr, Excel, and test management platforms
Familiarity with manual and automated testing methodologies
Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into test scenarios
Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOX) is a plus
Familiarity with life insurance products (term, whole, annuities) and core systems
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to coordinate work across cross-functional teams including QA, product owners, and business SMEs.

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in UAT, business analysis, or QA, preferably in the life insurance or financial services industry.
Related certifications a plus.
