About this role
We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who is eager to grow into a managerial role while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. - Prepare income tax returns using UltraTax software
- Manage and document the full lifecycle of income tax preparation
- Monitor workload to meet billable expectations, maintain budgets, and provide regular updates to management
- Communicate with government agencies to resolve tax issues
- Analyze client data for potential tax savings and advisory opportunities
- Research complex tax issues using AI-powered tools such as BlueJ
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding the status of returns and strategic opportunities
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to grow into a managerial role
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with U.S. Taxation
- Minimum of 2 years experience with UltraTax software
- Strong research skills using AI-powered tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
- Familiarity with communication platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Slack
- Experience using AI chatbots such as ChatGPT
- Knowledge of task management tools (e.g., Monday.com)
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately
- Highly self-motivated, accurate, and reliable
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent virtual and in-person client interaction skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-haves:
- CPA certification
- Master of Taxation is preferred
- Working knowledge of BlueJ
- Master's degree in Taxation
