Job Title:Supplier Relationship Manager Industrial Direct Materials

Position Summary

Supplier Relationship Manager with strong commercial relationship management and negotiation skills for industrial direct sourcing. This role is critical to driving cost efficiencies, improving supplier performance, and creating value through effective sourcing strategies and stakeholder engagement across our Americas and EMEA sites. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of direct material categories, coupled with strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing: Execute sourcing strategies developed by the Category Management team to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage supplier relationships to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations and contract development for initiatives up to $1M USD, securing favorable terms and mitigating risks.
  • Spend Analysis: Analyze spend data to identify savings opportunities, demand trends, and supplier consolidation options.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders across operations and engineering in assigned markets to understand requirements and deliver effective procurement solutions.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain risks to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, reporting tools, and systems.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's or professional certification in Supply Chain preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, with demonstrated expertise in industrial direct materials sourcing.
  • Proven experience in global or multinational industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Strong commercial relationship management and supplier development skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable commercial value through sourcing and supplier negotiations, including RFP execution.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems such as SAP, SAC, Ariba, and advanced Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in P2P processes, including PO creation, release, and maintenance of pricing info records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
