Job Description

The Business Development Officer directly contributes to the growth of the Institutional Business Division through the acquisition of new institutional accounts and other business development responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducts product presentations to institutional clients on Trust and Investment Management solutions of BPI Wealth
  • Creates bespoke investment solutions to institutional clients based on their business requirements, taking into account their investment objectives and risk appetites
  • Adequately explains the nuances of the investment landscape to a wide range of investor types
  • Prepares and accomplishes trust and investment proposals, whether through formal bidding processes or self-initiated
  • Develops and maintains a healthy pipeline of new clients to onboard with BPI Wealth
  • Maintains good relationships with Bank counterparts to ensure steady flow of referrals.
  • Conducts product briefings on Trust and other investment management solutions
  • Conducts Financial Wellness Sessions to both promote financial literacy, as well as encourage additional contributions to BPI Wealth solutions
  • Runs marketing campaigns for leads generation
  • Ensures seamless account opening and trade transactions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Master's degree in Business or Finance (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years in Sales, Relationship Management, Marketing, or Client Servicing
  • Exposure to institutional clients and investment management solutions is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of Trust products and investment management solutions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Trust rules and regulations
  • Basic knowledge of economics and financial markets
  • Credit knowledge and skills for evaluating institutional clients
  • Ability to create bespoke investment solutions tailored to client objectives and risk appetites
  • Presentation and negotiation skills, with confidence in engaging top-level decision makers
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex investment concepts to varied audiences
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Client-centric mindset with ability to maintain long-term partnerships
  • Proactive in lead generation, marketing campaigns, and financial wellness initiatives
  • Strategic thinker with adaptability to changing investment landscapes
  • Team leadership potential, with ability to supervise Portfolio Associates
