Treasury Officer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management bridges the gap between finance and operations, ensuring that the necessary cash is available to move goods while managing risks associated with transportation, inventory, and supplier payments. This role often involves managing Trade Importations, Foreign Exchange (FX), and optimizing Working Capital.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting
5+ years of accounting experience in logistics or supply chain
Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and cost accounting
Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Duties And Responsibilities
- Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
Cash Forecasting: Analyze supply chain data to predict cash needs, matching outflows to inventory arrivals, such as raw materials or finished goods.
Working Capital Optimization: Monitor and reduce trapped liquidity in inventory and payables to improve the cash conversion cycle (CCC).
Disbursement & Payments: Process vendor payments, freight invoices, and customs duties in a timely manner to maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Supply Chain Finance (SCF) & Trade Operations
Trade Finance Expertise: Manage Import/Export financing, including Letters of Credit (LC), documentary collections, and bank guarantees.
Supplier Financing Programs: Implement and manage reverse factoring or early payment programs to optimize payment terms with suppliers.
Currency Risk Management: Mitigate risks associated with international logistics, such as foreign exchange (FX) fluctuations on import costs.
- Operational Risk & Compliance
Vendor Compliance: Ensure all vendor payments comply with internal treasury policies and regulatory standards.
Fraud Prevention: Implement controls to secure electronic payments and mitigate risks in the supply chain payment process.
Auditing: Reconcile supplier accounts and support audits by providing accurate documentation of treasury activities.
- Technology & Process Improvement
ERP/TMS Integration: Leverage ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Treasury Management Systems (TMS) to automate payments and gain real-time visibility into logistics cash flow.
Data Analysis: Review shipping ETAs and inventory movements to proactively manage liquidity.

Working Conditions
- Work from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Saturday, inclusive of lunch break (1 hour) and coffee breaks afternoon (15 minutes); reporting during weekends and holidays may be necessary. Shifting schedule may be imposed.
