ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this engaging role, you will be the key point of contact for clients once they have purchased their Travel Walk, supporting them in enhancing their journey through additional services and options. From room upgrades and travel insurance to add-on tours and airport transfers, you will confidently guide clients through available choices and ensure they have everything they need for a seamless and memorable trip.

As a Team Lead, you will be supporting the Sales Manager by providing day-to-day guidance to the sales team, helping maintain service standards, and contributing to team performance. You will act as a senior point of contact for complex queries and assist in driving consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

You will report to the Sales Manager and work closely with colleagues in sales, operations, and finance to ensure add-on services are booked accurately and efficiently. This role suits someone with strong sales expertise who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example, and contributing to a collaborative remote team environment.

DESIRED ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven sales or account management experience, ideally within travel, tourism, hospitality, or a service-based industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly via email and chat.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a genuine desire to enhance client experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, booking platforms, or similar sales/administration tools.
  • High level of organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with strong self-motivation and accountability.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and complaint-resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of travel products such as insurance, transfers, and tours (advantageous but not essential).
  • Previous experience in a senior, supervisory, or team lead capacity (preferred)

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Contact clients after their initial trip booking to understand needs and present suitable additional products (e.g., room upgrades, insurance, add-on tours, airport transfers)
  • Accurately process sales and ensure add-on bookings are correctly entered into systems and communicated to relevant departments
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction
  • Provide timely, professional, and friendly responses to client queries regarding additional services
  • Act as a first point of escalation for client or booking-related issues within the team
  • Provide day-to-day support, coaching, and guidance to team members to ensure best practices and service standards are followed
  • Assist the Sales Manager with onboarding and training of new team members
  • Monitor team performance and share insights, feedback, and improvement opportunities with management
  • Liaise with operations, suppliers, and finance teams to confirm availability, pricing, and invoicing accuracy
  • Maintain accurate client records within the CRM and update sales progress regularly
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and exceptional service aligned with the company's values and brand standards.
