For this position, you will be part of our client, H.I.S. Canada Travel Inc., as an Air Group Reservation Agent. In this role, you will be responsible for handling group bookings, reservations, and ticketing, primarily consisting of 10 or more people in a group under the Canada Travel Account.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Responds to requests, prepares price quotations and proposals for domestic and international itineraries and processes bookings while considering all group specific details
Ensure client is informed of and represented in all terms and conditions before, during, and after the group air process including their pre-ticketing, policy, reporting, and security procedures
Confirm, process, and follow up with accounts payables and receivables to coordinate and complete the reconciliation process with Finance in order to provide customer with detailed and accurate reconciliation document
Maintains and promotes professional and courteous client relations by managing a prompt and accurate response to telephone and email communications
Accountable for entering data throughout the life of an event in the various technology tools such as Meetings, Project Management, Reservations and Time Tracking Technologies
Plan group travel effectively and efficiently through the established standards, and with meticulous attention to detail according to client provided parameters
Stay current with supplier and industry trends through attendance of team meetings and supplier onsite and offsite presentations
Works in conjunction with the Group air team to meet client defined meeting parameters and proactively escalating client, supplier, or program issues to management for timely resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of recent working experience as a Group Reservations Agent.
Fluency in French for business communication is a plus but not required.
Must have hands on Sabre Experience, Amadeus is a plus
- Knowledgeable in airline terminology, codes, fare basis, airline rules and tariffs, airline passes, resource guides, books, and industry contacts.
- Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written, presentation and consultative skills.
- Strong domestic, trans border and international travel knowledge required.
- Ability to travel to client events, as required
- Advanced skills in Cvent and Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) an asset
- Flexible in any schedule and willing to work onsite in Makati
