Responsibilities
Research, plan, develop, implement and evaluate training strategies, initiatives, and materials including comprehensive education programs to meet orientation and ongoing competency needs and professional development needs
Assess data and information related to claim medical outcome and other pertinent situations including identification of trends, issues, and supporting research to continuously improve curriculum
Stays abreast of and incorporates current research into nursing education practice.
Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership to improve claim outcomes through education
Utilize resources for instructional technology as necessary
Maintain database of all training materials
Qualifications
Unrestricted active RN license
Certification in case management, pharmacy, rehabilitation nursing or related specialty is highly preferred
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent work experience
Written and verbal fluency in English is required
Minimum two (2) years of corporate development and training experience in a workers compensation industry or case management/utilization review
- years of direct clinical care required but not limited to trauma, emergency, intensive care, orthopedic, neurology.
Two (2) years of utilization management experience required in either group health or workers compensation industry
