Job Description

The Trade Marketing Executive/Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic trade marketing initiatives that align with brand objectives and drive commercial performance across channels, categories, and regions. This role bridges marketing and sales to ensure consistent messaging and effective market execution while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Strategy Development & Principal Management

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Translate overarching brand strategies into actionable trade marketing plans.
  • Develop and implement targeted strategies by channel, category, customer, and region to ensure sustainable growth

Performance Monitoring & Analysis

  • Regularly evaluate business performance against targets and initiatives.
  • Generate insights and actionable recommendations to optimize results.
  • Lead and present business performance reviews to the management team.

Point of Sale Materials (POSM) Development

  • Design and develop compelling merchandising solutions and POS materials tailored to key shopper profiles.
  • Ensure effective visibility and conversion across relevant sales channels

Forecasting

  • Utilize historical data, market trends, and benchmarking to develop accurate sales forecasts.
  • Conduct opportunity and risk assessments to guide strategic decisions

Budget Management & Financial Acumen

  • Plan, manage, and track trade marketing budgets to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Apply financial principles such as ROI, CTS (Cost to Sales), and NPV in evaluating marketing investments and initiatives.

Collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners (principals, key accounts) and internal departments (sales, supply chain, merchandising).
  • Present and align quarterly plans with stakeholders to ensure cross-functional buy-in and effective execution

Process Compliance & Leadership

Act as the process owner for key strategic and operational meetings:

  • BSSD Monthly Development & Tracking
  • S&OP Including Sell-In/Sell-Out & Offtake Analysis
  • Quarterly Business Review
  • Sales & Marketing (S&M) Meeting
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade marketing, preferably in FMCG or retail.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and financial modeling.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and adept at cross-functional collaboration.
