About the Job
A Track and Trace Logistics Coordinator is responsible for monitoring shipments throughout the supply chain, updating shipment status, communicating with carriers and customers, and resolving any transportation delays or issues.
The role ensures real-time visibility and accurate tracking of goods from origin to final delivery.
Responsibilities
1. Shipment Monitoring
- Track shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and tracking tools.
- Monitor cargo movement via GPS, carrier systems, and logistics platforms.
- Ensure shipments move according to schedule.
2. Status Updates
- Update shipment status in internal systems.
- Provide regular tracking reports to customers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate tracking records.
3. Communication
- Coordinate with carriers, drivers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and customers
- Provide updates on shipment progress, delays, or issues.
4. Issue Resolution
- Identify delays, route changes, or delivery issues.
- Work with transportation providers to resolve problems quickly.
- Escalate critical issues when necessary.
5. Documentation
- Maintain shipment documentation such as buills of lading, delivery confirmations, and tracking reports
- Ensure compliance with logistics procedures.
6. Data Analysis
- Analyze shipment performance.
- Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, transit time, delay causes
- Recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
- 3+ years experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation
- Prior US client background
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
- Experience with tracking systems (TMS)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Good problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
- Amenable to work nightshift
- Amenable to start ASAP
