Role Description

Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures

Ensure tooling is in good working condition to support uninterrupted production

Conduct preventive maintenance and document tooling activities

Assist in tool setup, adjustment, and improvement to meet product quality requirements

Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve tooling-related defects

Follow safety, quality, and 5S standards at all times

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Technical/Vocational Course or Associate Degree in Tool and Die, Machining Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Tooling Technician, Mold Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of mold, die, jig, and fixture maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
  • Proficient in using manual and precision measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge, height gauge)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machines, conventional machines (lathe, milling, surface grinder), and basic tool fabrication
  • Familiar with preventive and corrective maintenance of production tooling
  • Knowledge of metal properties, heat treatment, and surface finishing processes
  • Capable of performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for tooling-related issues
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, and emergency repairs as required
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
