Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products and systems through rigorous testing and adherence to quality standards. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify defects, design test cases, and implement testing strategies to maintain high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability.
  2. Conduct thorough regression testing to identify and isolate software defects, ensuring that issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project managers, to define testing requirements and priorities.
  4. Design and implement automated testing solutions to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
  5. Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to implement corrective actions.
  6. Document test procedures, results, and defects thoroughly to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  7. Participate in Agile or Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  8. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and testing methodologies.
  9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall quality and efficiency of the software development process.
  10. Collaborate with customer support teams to investigate and resolve issues reported by end-users, ensuring a positive user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with performance testing tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) are desirable but not required.
