Overview
The Test Automation Architect leads the design and implementation of test automation solutions within the Delivery Team. This role manages Test Automation Analysts, ensures alignment with TCOE-defined standards and frameworks, and collaborates closely with the Test Administration team to translate enterprise-wide automation strategies into effective delivery practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the ITG Quality Framework and TCOE-defined standards.
- Enforce adherence to the SDLC and TCOE Test Process across automation activities.
- Support the Test Manager/Lead in achieving the team's automation goals.
- Own and manage the Test Automation Solution and related assets for the project or unit.
- Design and develop automation frameworks in alignment with the TCOE Automation Framework.
- Configure, set up, and maintain the test automation environment and framework.
- Provide technical guidance on test script creation, maintenance, and optimization.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of automation solutions in defect detection and runtime efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation framework.
- Install, manage, and utilize test automation tools effectively.
- Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, business contacts, and user representatives. Advocate for test automation processes and deliverables within the Delivery Team.
- Provide documentation and ongoing support for automation solutions.
- Conduct training and actively develop the automation skills of Test Automation Analysts and other testing team members.
Qualification
- At least 8 years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on designing and implementing automation frameworks.
- Proven experience leading automation initiatives within Agile or DevOps delivery environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring test automation engineers or analysts. Knowledge Area
- Domain expertise in loan core banking system or any loan management system is highly preferred Deep understanding of test automation architecture, frameworks, and best practices.
- Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and test process governance aligned with TCOE standards.
- Awareness of industry trends in test automation, including shift-left testing and AI-driven testing tools.
