The TechnoCommercial Manager provides leadership in commercial terms, compliance, and negotiation, contract management, and technical engagement during project implementation and operations while focusing on optimization and commercialization. The position acts as a key integrator across O&M, Engineering Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, and external stakeholders to safeguard company interests, mitigate risks, and ensure operational readiness and long-term asset performance. The role ensures key vendors and partners contractual obligations are fulfilled, plant performance meets guaranteed parameters, DNP monitoring, and all claims, variations, and commercial matters are effectively managed in coordination with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
DIRECTION, CONTRACTS & NEGOTIATION
- Develops strategic plan supporting O&M's roadmap and commercialization
- Provides O&M/engineering perspectives in reviewing EPC/OEM/Partner contracts; ensure risks, remedies, and obligations are clear
- Reviews & interprets contracts for technical/commercial/legal obligations; advise on risk allocation
- Negotiates contract terms, and project milestones with vendors on operational technology consistent with the contract or rights of the company.
- Leads coordination acting as a liaison between O&M, PDE's, Technical Service, and to the extent Business Development to align operational plans and growth.
- Monitors performance against contract terms; resolve deviations with EPC/OEM.
- Maintains a contract compliance register and turnover milestone tracker & support contract implementation plan in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Ensures adherence to GRSSA (Geothermal Resource and Supply Service Agreement) and JOGs governance (Joint Operational Guidelines)
TECHNICAL & COMMERCIAL COMPLIANCE
- Coordinates with O&M to verify installations meet specs
- Validates plant performance test results (e.g., PR, capacity, reliability) against contract, performance guarantees with O&M and engineering teams.
- Identifies underperformance or technical deviations, and pursues remedies per the contract in coordination with the Legal team (e.g., rework, rectification, or liquidated damages).
COMMERCIAL ENFORCEMENT AND CLAIMS
- Identifies noncompliance & enforce Liquidated Damages/penalties/remediation per contract
- Leads claims strategy; prepare/approve notices, substantiation & negotiation packages with Legal, O&M and PDE
- Leads negotiations/settlements with EPC/OEM/Partners; coordinate with Legal, O&M and PDE
CONTRACT CLOSURE AND TURNOVER SUPPORT, RENEWAL & TERMINATION OF CONTRACT
- Ensures all contractual conditions for Final Acceptance are met prior to official turnover to operations.
- Validates final punch list items are completed and documented supporting O&M.
- Confirms that all warranties, spare parts, insurance, and extended service commitments are properly handed over to the O&M/Asset Management teams.
- Conducts a review of the issues related to implemented Contracts and where applicable.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL AND STAKEHOLDER COORDINATION
- Acts as the Owner's representative in contract closure meetings and technical-commercial discussions
- Leads PGPCrelated meetings; negotiate commercial agreements; coordinate plantsteamfield optimization
DOCUMENTATION AND RISK MITIGATION
- Maintains detailed records of contract correspondences, notices, claim logs, and resolution outcomes.
- Supports internal audits, compliance reviews, and external legal counsel where applicable.
MARKET INTELLIGENCE, REPORTING AND COMMUNICATION
- Engages regular PGPC related meetings, and negotiates commercial agreements.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports on status, risks, claims, resolutions to senior management
- Maintains constructive relationships with all parties
- Provides market analysis, trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities, expansion or renewal of existing projects or operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial), Law, or Business
- Preferably with MBA or Master's in Law / Contracts Management
- At least 5-10 years experience in technical and commercial roles including contract management, project management, commercial negotiations with third parties, business and operational strategies. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools can be an added advantage.
- Proven track record in managing internal and external stakeholders, EPC/OEM contracts, especially during handover, defects notification period, negotiations, and claims.
- 5 years leadership experience
- At least 2 years in large scale industrial projects. Experience in project management and contracting is a plus factor.
