Job Description

Job Summary

  • Performs tasks on a stand-alone basis or under supervision of an officer on local check clearing transactions that are peculiar, specific and/or combination of techniques, specialization or expertise requiring, among others, the understanding, analysis and evaluation of relevant data, processes, products, documentation, investigation and appraisal methods, market, industry, regulatory, government agencies, accounting, the output of which is used, by the next responsible officer, for decision making, completion of tasks, recommendations and within the context of approved standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for timely and error free output on local check clearing transactions either as maker or checker that will be used by the next responsible officer or staff for further decision making, completion of tasks, recommendations, implementations, escalation and/or release of transactions.

How will you contribute

  • Process and balance outward clearing batches submitted by branches for collection through the Philippine Clearing House Corporation (PCHC) system.
  • Maintain the Inward Clearing System (ICS) by cropping and uploading signature cards for verification.
  • Reconcile and verify outward checks processed through the Bank's Remote Data Capture (RDC) channel to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform post-verification of inward return checks transmitted by drawee banks.
  • Execute data adjustments for inward return checks and resolve discrepancies within the clearing system.
  • Manage retrieval requests, providing check images to branches and relevant business units in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit the Temporary Overdraft (TOD) report to branches for immediate review and resolution

  • Knowledgeable in computer (Excel & Word), basic accounting entries, have good communication and writing skills.
