Job Description

The Technical Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and successfully adopted by the business. This role serves as the vital bridge between technical execution and business readiness. By combining rigorous project management with strategic change management, this individual ensures that project deliverables align with organizational objectives while maximizing employee adoption and minimizing resistance to new processes and technology.

  • Integrated Project Planning: Lead comprehensive project planning from ideation to execution, ensuring the integration of change management strategies into the overall project master plan.
  • Multi-Faceted Task Coordination: Coordinate people, processes, and resources across cross-disciplinary teams while providing specialized support for change-related activities and deadlines.
  • Strategic Stakeholder Communication: Act as the key point of contact for senior management and clients; analyze stakeholder needs to develop and execute communication plans that ensure all parties are aligned and informed.
  • Comprehensive Risk Management: Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate both technical project risks and change-adoption risks to keep delivery on track and minimize business resistance.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management: Coordinate the development and maintenance of user manuals, training materials, and necessary project documentation to ensure successful implementation and turnover.
  • Integrated Status Reporting: Track and report on both technical project progress and change management milestones by gathering and analyzing data to provide a holistic view of readiness.
  • Change Request Governance: Evaluate the impact of change requests on the project's schedule and budget, while simultaneously updating the change management plan to reflect impacts on employee adoption.
  • Quality Assurance & Effectiveness: Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards while monitoring the effectiveness of change strategies to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Training Design & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end process of designing, developing, and delivering training sessions to facilitate a smooth transition for internal and external clients.
  • Proactive Client Engagement: Identify new opportunities with clients and maintain a high focus on customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and gathering feedback during project transitions.
  • Holistic Project Evaluation: Conduct post-implementation evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful elements of both the technical delivery and the business rollout to inform future improvements.

  • End-to-End Project Governance: Implement PM methodologies to plan, execute, control, and close projects while ensuring all technical milestones align with business objectives.
  • Integrated Readiness Strategy: Develop a comprehensive Change Management Strategy including Stakeholder Analysis, Communication Plans, and Training Plans.
  • Execution & Adoption Roadmap: Execute the project plan while simultaneously managing the Change Management Status Reports to track user adoption and system stability.
  • Project Control & Value Realization: Maintain rigorous control over project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure Speed to Value.

  • Technical: Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Data Analysis tools for KPI reporting.

Certifications (Preferred): PMP, CAPM, CCMP, or Prosci CMP.

Soft Skills: Leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, adaptability, strategic thinking, risk and resistance management, and results orientation.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Experience: 3-5 years of end-to-end Project Management experience in a technical/Telco environment, with at least 3 years specifically focused on organizational change management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or any related field from a four-year university.
  • Leadership Level: Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions, manage cross-functional project teams, and mentor junior staff.
