Location: Remote (UK Hours: 9 AM - 6 PM)

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner who is eager to learn, highly organized, and motivated to grow within a fast-moving e-learning and SaaS environment.

This role is ideal for someone early in their product career who wants broad exposure across product, engineering, and design, while operating in a supportive, low-risk, low-ownership environment. You will work closely under the guidance of senior product and technical leaders, assisting with backlog refinement, requirement gathering, documentation, and day-to-day coordination.

You will not be expected to own high-level strategy or lead major product decisionsrather, you will support the team in delivering well-defined features, learning best practices, and gradually building confidence in product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Product Support & Coordination

  • Assist with refining user stories, documenting requirements, and organizing the product backlog.
  • Support senior product leaders in translating ideas and user feedback into clear specifications.
  • Help prepare sprint materials, including acceptance criteria, task breakdowns, and definitions of done.
  • Maintain product documentation, release notes, and internal knowledge bases.

Technical Awareness (Guided by Senior Team Members)

  • Work with engineers and the CTO to understand technical constraints, platform behavior, and implementation considerations.
  • Participate in technical discussions primarily as an observer/recorderlearning how solutions are assessed and planned.
  • Review merge requests at a high level only when guided by senior technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure team alignment on version control workflows and basic SDLC processes.

Cross-Functional Exposure

  • Collaborate with design, engineering, QA, and operations to support smooth execution of sprints.
  • Help facilitate (but not lead) sprint ceremoniesrefinements, planning, retrospectivesshadowing senior product owners.
  • Assist with clarifying requirements, managing documentation, and handling small internal dependencies.

User Feedback, Research & Insights

  • Gather user feedback from support tickets, surveys, and analytics tools and summarize patterns for the team.
  • Support user research initiatives by preparing notes, organizing findings, and documenting insights.

Delivery Tracking (Low Ownership)

  • Monitor progress of assigned tickets and help ensure they have the correct details and status in project management tools.
  • Flag potential risks or blockers to senior product leadership.
  • Assist in quality assurance by verifying acceptance criteria and ensuring smooth handoff to QA.

Learning & Skill Development

  • Adopt product and engineering best practices as mentored by the CTO, senior developers, and senior product owners.
  • Learn modern SaaS product processes, Agile methodologies, and digital delivery pipelines.
  • Explore new tools (AI productivity, documentation automation, etc.) under supervision.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 1-2 years in a product, project coordination, junior technical role, or similar support position.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum processes is a plus but not required.
  • Experience collaborating with designers or engineers is helpful but not mandatory.

Technical Proficiency (Foundational)

  • Basic understanding of software development concepts (e.g., APIs, front-end vs. back-end, databases).
  • Familiarity with Git or any version control system is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts quickly.

Product & Organizational Skills

  • Comfortable writing simple user stories, notes, or basic requirements.
  • Experience using tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Notion, Trello, or similar is helpful.
  • Strong attention to detail and structured communication.

Soft Skills

  • Eager to learn, open to feedback, and comfortable asking questions.
  • Strong communicator who can simplify and organize information.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to stay calm when dealing with multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative mindsetcomfortable working across departments and taking direction from senior leaders.

Language

Fluency in English is required.
