About the Role:
We are looking for a Technical Purchaser to join our growing Procurement Team. The role will focus on sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing technical and engineering-related materials, spare parts, and services critical to plant operations and project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers of machinery, spare parts, utilities, and maintenance materials.
- Review technical specifications and ensure alignment with engineering and production requirements.
- Request and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production, and Finance for purchase planning and approvals.
- Maintain updated supplier database and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier performance.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and process improvement in procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Mechanical Engineering or related technical course.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge in technical materials, equipment, and spare parts sourcing is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent).
- Highly organized, proactive, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
