The Role
We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst with deep travel industry and GDS experience to help bridge the gap between customers, product, and engineering. You will be responsible for understanding travel workflows, mapping requirements, designing technical specifications, and ensuring smooth integration with travel systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport).
This role is perfect for someone who understands both travel operations and technology, and who enjoys solving complex process problems.
What You'll Do
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from internal teams and customers
- Identify process inefficiencies and propose automation or optimisation opportunities
- Translate travel industry workflows into technical specifications
- Work closely with engineers to design scalable solutions and integrations
- Lead discovery and mapping of GDS processes (PNR creation, ticketing, queue management, schedule changes, etc.)
- Own user stories, acceptance criteria, and end-to-end process documentation
- Collaborate with product team to refine roadmap, prioritise features, and validate feasibility
- Conduct functional testing and validate end-to-end workflow quality
- Support clients during UAT, helping them validate workflows and troubleshoot issues
- Run product demos for clients, showcasing new features and capabilities
- Act as the subject-matter expert for GDS logic and travel rules
- Maintain clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong experience with one or more GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport, Galileo, Apollo, etc.)
- Deep understanding of travel industry operations: PNRs, fares, ticketing, queues, reissues, etc.
- Experience in process optimisationmapping current workflows and redesigning them for efficiency
- Ability to identify automation opportunities and propose technical solutions that reduce manual work
- Ability to write clear user stories, process flows, functional specs, and acceptance criteria
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex workflows
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams
- Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management

- Front-end UI design
- Background working in startups or high-growth environments
- Experience with AI/LLM-based workflow automation
