Technical Business Analyst

We are looking for a technically minded Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and software engineering teams. The ideal candidate has strong experience in requirements analysis, user story development, and Agile backlog management, with the ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
• Write detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria for software development teams.
• Manage and prioritize Agile/Scrum backlogs based on business objectives.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, stakeholder discussions, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in technical discussions involving APIs, integrations, data models, and cloud-hosted platforms.
• Validate technical solutions against business requirements and support testing activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, intake processes, and requirements documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Product Owner.
• Proven experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria for software development teams.
• Hands-on experience managing and prioritizing Agile/Scrum backlogs.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
• Experience facilitating requirements-gathering sessions and collaborating directly with technical teams.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitHub Issues and GitHub Projects.
• Familiarity with AWS services, such as Amazon RDS, AWS Lambda, and Amazon S3.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and data modeling.
• Working knowledge of SQL for reporting, data validation, and analysis.
• Experience designing intake processes and request workflows, particularly in Slack.
• Exposure to SaaS, platform, or software product environments.
• Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, or PSPO are a plus.
